The pandemic cancelled our March opening but we are now grateful for The feature length documentary “Balkowitsch” will screen at the Fargo Film Festival on March 18th, 7pm at the historic Fargo Theatre. Directors Greg DeSaye and Chelsy Ciavarella will participate in question and answer session following the screening.

A man in his mid 40's finds a new creative outlet that changes the course of his life. Shane Balkowitsch, "Shadow Catcher," has used his passion for a very old photographic method, wet-plate photography, to create art and to document life today. What I appreciate in his work is the respect for his subjects that emanates from each plate. His "sitters," as he calls them, come from all walks of life.
